Remember in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" how the dad thought that Windex was the cure for everything?  It was cute, but he had a point. Sometimes a fix is actually simple.

The fix for jewelry is often a simple jump ring. What is a jump ring, you ask?

A jump ring is a circle of metal that serves as a basic connector to connect one part of a jewelry design to another. Jump rings come in different sizes, color and metal - both precious and base metal.  With two sets of small pliers, you can remove or open a jump ring, and add a new one. This quick You Tube video shows you how to open and close a jump ring. If a connector is missing from a piece you love, you can find replacements at Michael's

Of course, I'm always happy to help you fix your jewelry, but a lot of times you can simply do it yourself.

I use jump rings in many of my designs. This means that you might even be able to lengthen or shorten a piece yourself, for a perfect fit.  Again, I'm always happy to help, but this little lesson may someday come in handy.
